Dedicated to
Human Life

Higea Foundation is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing a lifeline for cancer patients in Venezuela. We focus on bridging the gap between life-threatening illness and access to care for those living in extreme vulnerability.

In a country where the healthcare system faces unprecedented challenges, Higea Foundation serves as a vital support network. We fund life-saving medical treatments, essential diagnostic services, and specialized oncology care for low-income individuals who, without our intervention, would have no means to survive their diagnosis.

Backed by the 50-year legacy of the Higea network, we are committed to restoring hope and dignity to Venezuela’s most vulnerable communities. Through the transparency of our work and the generosity of our donors, we ensure that no patient has to face cancer alone or without resources.

Current Context

Treatments and exams are becoming more expensive and increasing in demand. Thanks to the collaboration of generous souls, we provide continuity to our daily mission: Save lives.

Scope

External support allows us to expand our capacity to provide services at costs significantly lower than the market, or free of charge for patients with socioeconomic needs.

What do we represent?

Operational and financial efficiency involvement, with the aim of obtaining outstanding benefit results for patients.

Wide recognition in the region as an organization that provides reliable and high-quality services. Our trajectory and history can be recognized by the community.

Personal interaction with patients and compliance with high clinical standards, offering the most efficient health care system.

Our Volunteering

Is a support service to the institution, created in order to contribute to the achievement of greater well-being for patients through emotional, logistical and financial support.

Intended to partially or fully cover the cost associated with diagnosis and treatment of patients with limited economic resources.

In order to meet the objectives, our team of volunteers promotes each year the holding of charitable events and other direct fundraising activities, which allow us to strengthen the aid fund.
